I am the Department Head of Programming and Information Sciences.  I am responsible for three programs within the Information Technology Division.  Those programs are Business Analytics, Computer Programming and Development, & Data Science Programming and Support Services.  I have been with WTCC since August 2019.  Before WTCC I taught programming to engineering students at Johnston Community College for 2 years.  Before moving to North Carolina in 2017 I was a Programming Professor at Horry Georgetown Technical College for 10 years.  I've taught online for Coastal Carolina University in their bachelor's program, as well as Concordia University for their master's Program.
Before becoming an instructor, I worked in the technology industry for 10 years. I started out as the department secretary for the Information Systems department at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During those 10 years I completed both my bachelors and degrees in Information Systems. I moved from an administrative position to a technical position in Web Development. Then finally to a managerial role as a Technology Project Manager.
