Michael C. Ferris holds the John P. Morgridge Chair in Computer Sciences, and is the Jacques-Louis Lions Professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. He is the Director of the Data Sciences Hub within the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
Dr. Ferris' research concerns algorithms and applications of optimization, including covid vaccine delivery, cancer treatment planning, energy modeling, economic policy, traffic and environmental engineering, video-on-demand data delivery, structural and mechanical engineering.
